11U Mosquito

11U Mosquito is an exciting milestone in a player’s baseball journey and introduces athletes to CMBA’s first year of tiered baseball.

Players have the opportunity to develop their skills in either our American League (“Rep”) or National League (“Recreational”) pathways while continuing to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.

The 11U season is played primarily at Cloverdale Ballpark on Diamonds 3 and 4.

Teams typically practice 1–2 times per week and play 1–2 games weekly throughout the Spring season.

American League ("Rep")

The American League is designed for players seeking a more competitive baseball experience with increased focus on skill development, strategy, and game play.

Players in this pathway typically have a strong interest in baseball as their primary spring sport and are looking for additional development opportunities and competition.

All players interested in the American League must attend evaluations. Teams are formed through a player draft process, and player requests are not accommodated at this level.

National League ("Recreational")

The National League offers a fun, development-focused baseball experience with an emphasis on participation, teamwork, and continued skill growth.

This pathway is ideal for players who enjoy baseball alongside other sports and activities, or who prefer a more balanced recreational schedule.

Players are evaluated and placed onto balanced teams to support fair play and positive player development throughout the season.

Evaluation Process

During the evaluation process, families can indicate whether their player would like to be considered for the American League pathway.

Interest in the American League does not guarantee placement, as team selection is based on evaluations and overall player balance.

The number of teams formed each season depends on registration numbers and the availability of volunteer coaches.

Summerball

Following the Spring season, CMBA offers competitive Summer Ball opportunities for players interested in additional development and tournament play.

Tryouts are typically held in mid-to-late May, with teams competing from late June through the August long weekend.

Summer teams generally include:

  • 11U AAA
  • 11U AA
  • 10U A
  • 11U A (depending on player and coach interest)

Summer Ball requires an additional fee and a significant time commitment from both players and families due to travel, practices, and tournaments.

Fall Ball

CMBA also offers Fall Ball programs for many divisions following the conclusion of the Spring and Summer seasons.

Fall Ball is designed to provide players with additional development opportunities in a fun, lower-pressure environment while helping athletes prepare for the division they will be entering the following Spring season.

The Fall season is especially beneficial for players moving up to a new division, as it allows them to:

  • Become familiar with new rules and gameplay changes
  • Gain extra reps and field time
  • Continue developing baseball fundamentals
  • Build confidence before the next Spring season
  • Participate in practices, scrimmages, and exhibition games

Fall Ball schedules, formats, and travel may vary depending on division registration numbers and field availability.

Additional registration fees apply for Fall Ball participation.
