15U Bantam

15U Bantam is a major progression level where players transition into a faster, more competitive, and strategically advanced version of baseball.

At this level, athletes continue developing advanced defensive skills, pitching strategy, situational baseball awareness, and team systems while competing on full-sized Bantam diamonds.

Games are played using:

  • 80-foot base paths
  • 54-foot pitching distance
  • 7-inning games
  • Lead-offs and base stealing
  • Balk rules
  • Dropped third strike rules

The speed and complexity of the game increases significantly at the Bantam level, helping prepare players for higher levels of competitive baseball.

Tiered Division Structure

15U Bantam is a fully tiered division where teams compete against other associations throughout the Lower Mainland.

CMBA offers multiple levels of play to provide appropriate development opportunities for athletes of all experience and commitment levels.

Rangers High Performance Program (AA & AAA)

Players may try out for CMBA’s Rangers High Performance program at the AA and AAA levels.

These teams provide an elevated competitive environment focused on advanced player development, higher-level competition, and long-term athlete growth.

Rangers High Performance teams:

  • Train beginning in January and February
  • Compete through both Spring and Summer seasons
  • Travel regularly throughout the region
  • Play 9-player baseball
  • Compete against similarly tiered associations
  • Focus on advanced development and team systems

The High Performance season typically runs through mid-August.

A Division Baseball

Players not selected for AA or AAA teams will be placed onto one of CMBA’s A division teams.

The A division continues to provide strong player development within a more recreational and balanced competitive environment while still competing against other associations throughout the season.

Following the Spring season, players may also have the opportunity to try out for the Bantam A Summer All-Star team, which typically begins tryouts in mid-to-late May.

Summerball

Summer Baseball at the 15U level represents a significant increase in both competition and commitment.

Players participating in the Summer All-Star programs should expect:

  • Additional weekly practices and training sessions
  • Weekend tournaments and exhibition games
  • Travel throughout the Lower Mainland and surrounding regions
  • Expanded team schedules through July and into August
  • Higher expectations for attendance and player commitment

Families should also anticipate additional fees associated with Summer Baseball programs.
